Does LLVM-RL78 need the dedicated version of FDL library?
Hello support team,
In my memory, GNURL78 needs the dedicated version of FDL library for re-programing data flash. And some library for re-programing code flash. I think that LLVM-RL78 needs such libraries. Is it right?
Best regards,

Hey Darius, do you have any updates you can provide about the FDL, EEL, and FSL ports? Are they still on track for a 2022 release?
(Reposting here with full URLs.)
We would like to let you know that the following data/code flash libraries are available and compatible with LLVM RL78:
– FDL Type04 (LLVM compiler support version) Parent page
Data Flash Library Type04 Package Ver.3.00 for the RL78 Family
– FSL Type01 (LLVM compiler support version) Parent page
Flash Self Programming Library Type01 Package Ver.4.00 for the RL78 Family
– EEL Pack02 (LLVM compiler support version):
EEPROM Emulation Library Pack02 Package Ver.3.00 for RL78 Family | Renesas
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
There is already an ongoing effort of porting the FDL, EEL and the FSL in order to be supported by the LLVM RL78 toolchain. We estimate that those libraries will be available in 2022.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
Best Regards,
The Open Source Tools Team
