7月 18, 2024 Commented That's my problem: __builtin_rx_brk() (or the asm("brk"); version) does NOT break... execution simply continues.

7月 18, 2024 Commented OK, problem solved... For some reason, I had a checkbox in Windows language/region settings that was checked, which caused the issue. I unchecked this box, and it seems to work correctly now.
