Thank you for your detailed answer. Please don't missunderstand me, I don't want you to add a detailed description to the release notes for each line of code you changed in the toolchain sources. Of course this would be very extensive. I just noticed that the descriptions in your latest GNURX release notes are very short in comparison to most of the previous ones. My normal procedure is to use the release notes for a first classification of the found and fixed bugs. If I then come to the conclusion that a bug(-fix) could have any influence on our software, I start some further investigation up to reading sources. So please let's have a look on my previous example release note: "Fixed the handling of 64 bit addition". Here it would be very helpful to me if you could add only one sentence like "In certain situations inefficient code was generated". Then I would know that it's an optimization issue which I can take into consideration when I have very limited program space. Or you write "Addition of two 64bit double values led to wrong result under certain circumstances". Then I would know that I definitively need to do further investigation if my software uses 64bit floating point calculation, because it could calculate wrong values. Best regards
