November 18, 2024 Commented Hi Frank, you are correct, I discovered that mistake as I implemented the lock. I would have needed to implement a "spin-lock" (i.e. wait until the lock is free), but, as you mentioned, you don't do that in an interrupt routine. I ended up doing as you proposed, except I just disabled the MTU interrupt, and not ALL interrupts. I still left my answer about the XCHG in the bsp, as it may be useful for someone else looking for it.

October 28, 2024 Commented OK, found a solution for this if anybody else has the same question. With the RX FIT library (i.e. Smart Configurator) you also get an XCHG based lock/unlock routines, which are fine for my application (see r_bsp_locking.h/.c)

July 18, 2024 Commented OK, problem solved... For some reason, I had a checkbox in Windows language/region settings that was checked, which caused the issue. I unchecked this box, and it seems to work correctly now.
