Important Note 1: Starting with with version 2024-10 of e2Studio, the GNUARM-NONE toolchain is no longer supported.
Important Note 2:Starting with version 6.0 of e2Studio, the GNU ARM Embedded toolchain (available from https://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/open-source-software/developer-tools/gnu-toolchain/gnu-rm/downloads) is the preferred toolchain for RZ devices. The now-legacy KPIT GNU ARM-NONE toolchain is still supported in e2Studio, however this toolchain is discontinued and no new releases are planned for it. One drawback of the GNU ARM Embedded toolchain is that it does not have a standard library builder provided in the same manner as the legacy KPIT ARM-NONE toolchain. To use this feature with the GNU ARM Embedded toolchain, a standalone libgen update is available below. We recommend that you only apply the libgen update to GNU ARM Embedded release 5-2016-q1-update or later, to avoid incompatibilities. |
